Do we accept ALL clients? Who qualifies?
To avoid conflicts of interest, we won't accept competing practices or practices of the same kind located in the same area. We are hesitant to accept clients who are painfully shy.
We've been asked whether we can guarantee publicity placement in a specific medium or on a particular program.
The short answer is: no. No publicist can. We can guarantee that we'll attempt to achieve the placement of your choice but no sane publicist can guarantee - or be 100% certain - that and when it can be accomplished. There are several reasons for it: 1/ it depends on what you have to offer (how new or interesting the information you have is); 2/ the schedule of the medium of your choice can't be underestimated either. (If a similar material is already scheduled to be featured, or has been featured recently, presenting you may have to wait.) The final decision about media placement is ultimately made by the media.
Do we deal only with clients whose goal it is to achieve prominent media exposure?
No, not everyone's goal is to attract the attention of mainstream or nationwide media. We work with clients who have varying needs. Sometimes local - or specific market's niche - media is best for a client.
Many of our clients ask whether we'll act as their spokesperson or whether we'll assist them in preparations for media encounters.
Absolutely, that's a part of our job.
